You just can't convert a Q3 map to Q4. Scale's are way off. Which is actually kinda annoying, because the physics and gameplay, are the same as Q3's but the models are larger, so if you do a direct map conversion, it will be much tighter than the original, but the jumppads, etc. etc. will work the same.

It's looking cool so far though. Od', not bitching, and I know how you like things being perfect, just in case you don't know about it, those patches that make up the arches on the top, if you select those, and then do a middle button mouse click on the "brush" next to it, it will line up the texture perfect. And to align the curves around corners, hold "shift" and move the texture alignment with the arrow keys.

Scales are staying. You will have to get used to them. Now out of good will I changed the doorway height, but mostly because it pissed me off not being able to constantly jump around the map.

The things that need fixing are lighting, the central grill MH area needs a re-design, and the front of the RL jump pad section could do with a new design.

I dont want to give up on this, but its not as easy as say a 30min space map. Tried making a section the other day, then it hit me... Hold on, all i have to do is add a block in the middle and then copy paste the rest and im done :| So i may make a decent map that you all liked if you want.

for what its worth i was really impressed with the latest beta - clearly there are still touches and tweaks you wish to make and thats cool - theres no reason it should be done overnight - take your time and try to let the critique get to you too much - like i said so far its high quality stuff - it can only get better

As soon as this thing is done I'm going to upload this thing to the server and try out my new map downloading config.

At least then we all get to play on it together, just like old times. :)

I tried the second beta2, and got more FPS then the first one, but still some drop on some part of the map...maybe you could remove some visual effect...lightning

You know what, somebody lock this. I think you people really need to learn how to fucking read. There is no VIS in the map yet, which means its drawing the ENTIRE map at once, from anywhere, hence the bad FPS.

What the fuck is wrong with you people?
