I work out at LA Fitness. I'm not sure they allow the use of chalk. I've never seen anyone using it, nor the remnants of it's use and it's not provided by the club. So I think chalk might be out. I believe the straps will help keep the bar in the palm of my hand and take stress off of my finger joints. Because as I get into the later sets/reps and the bar starts to slip away from my palm, it feels like my metacarpal and proximal interphalangeal joints are being pulled apart. If that's not bad enough I'm starting to suffer post workout pain in those joints as well.

I'm sure it would take extra time to clean the chalk off of all the free weights and equipment. And who wants to use weights/equipment covered in someone's chalk? Doesn't seem like there would be any good reason to allow it.

Don't use chalk if you don't want to. We're just saying it gives you better grip.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I sent it, but it just stayed in the outbox, so I figured it was not reaching you, so I deleted it. I'll resend it.

Yeah, the PM system on this forum is a little screwy. I never have figured it out completely.

I haven't received anything else. I need to clear my inbox...

I still have a message sitting in my outbox that I sent to horton weeks ago. I'm assuming it stays there until he reads it...
