and this version runs (even with full ambientlights) with 63fps :>
who says the dm6 layout isn´t possible with doom3 engine ? :D

Well to be fair it is a bit different. And I get 20 fps in the base game. 63 in Q4Max. gg vertex gg...

i get constantly 63fps in baseq4 O_o
and i just have a Radeon 9600XT

My FPS dont hitch at all.

And can i jsut say i love that fucking map they did, damn its good. Really nice new feeling to it, its gonna be a huge hit i know it. Shame its a "update" and not a "patch" because this means people may not have it...

If it was added with a patch, then everybody would be forced to get it, hence everybody would have it.

Yes well, thats with default everything on my laptop with a mobile geforce 4, though I doubt my desktop with its mighty geforce 3 will do much better. :D

I am sure the pack will be included in the first real patch they do, not this browser type stuff. :icon26:

Jesus man are you joking? Quake 4 is a next gen game, of course its not going to run "nice" on that system. Upgrade or stick to older games.

Man, that kinda suck o'dium. You put all this work into a Q3DM6 remake and then they go ahead and release an "official" remake, pretty much nulling out all of your hard work. Maybe you can turn yours into 6+?

I pushed hard for our version of Q3DM6 to make it into retail Q4. A lot of overtime went into it, hoping they would let it in. However, even though the map was basically done, the game was just about to go gold and QA wasn't about to accept a whole new map at the eleventh hour. I really can't say any more than that.

i've had computer problems and quake4 update problems.
it took me a while to fix quake4 ..for some reason when i saved a map it created another quake4 folder.

hours lost

edit : all this work for nothing ??
gained 24 fps

I would really like to see a 6+ version for q4 made ,if possible.I sincerely hope that all of this work does not go to waste.Odium and axbaby ,thank you both for your hard work thus far.

axbaby you really do make good maps man ,q3wca and q3wca2 we're some of my favorite maps for clanarena in q3.Great work on this 1 :icon14: hopefully ,so far.

sorry but this site doesnt make up the q3/q4 community as a whole. i would say maybe only 7-10% of it in fact. there are plenty of people that will play q4 longer than that 7-10% that had no idea a remake was being done here.

and of course rgoer couldnt say anything without the threat of losing his job for leaking info.

IMO, i didnt like the odq3dm6 version. ran fine, but if i want to play q3dm6 i will play q3.

so yeah if you open pak13 you will see that the map definition file is named raven_mappack.def
which means it was made completely by raven and rgoer disregarded your map entirely.

do you raven/id guys enjoy burying yourselves into a bigger hole with this game?

rather than fix the steps bug, they just removed steps: lame
(especially with someone like carmack behind them)

finish this map, it looks cooler and is really comming along. dont let this work go to waste.

I just tried the new version of DM6 from activision and it rock...no FPS lost at all, i'm playing with a steady 63 FPS.
But there maybe 1 thing that you could do axbaby is to take the new map DM6 and change some minor thing like;
add red amor
and remove quad to be replace by MEGA HEALT like on PRO-DM6, so this way we would have 2 version like we have on Q3, the regular version and pro (no quad)...
