I'm actually trying to point out crap work.
Even if you take away heat expansion, which is an issue, the deck was laid separately to the pool so will have an expansion joint that needs to be carried up to the coping. 2 structures built separately next to each other will settle differently

He's at such a world class level it's taking 6 months to complete and half of it has to be dismantled because it's so fucked up.
