when i was little, the memorial flight (as well as lots of other stuff) used to fly over my house on the way to several airshows.

We used to live in the countryside, and about 200m away there was a lovely little church that old ladies used to go to every sunday. The memorial flight once flew over at about 9am in the morning. on one of these such sundays my father was in bed sleeping, heard the engines and ran downstairs into the garden. Just in time to see the lancaster, escorted by the hurricane and the spitfire. Unfortunatly he was naked, and the old ladies were somewhat taken aback when they saw a hairy dancing madman, pointing and screaming at the sky on their way to a nice tranquil country church.
