I read somewhere that I should set my graphics card to "application controlled" for antialiasing. Do I even need antialiasing turned on? Whats this all about? I like my graphics to be dumbed down alot so if its for better image quality I wouldn't need it. Can someone enlighten me? (no pun intended if thats the case) :-)
you don't need it on if you don't want ,your giving control to the game menus to choose wether you want it on.
antialiasing get's rid ofthe jagged edges on straight items like a roof to a building .. you will notice it isn't straight but has triangulur bumps on it.
yeah anything thats at an angle (ie not completely vertical or horizontal on the screen) will end up having jagged edges without aa. more noticable at lower resolutions.
aa just smooths it all out at the expense of a large chunk of performance.
