cannot connect to servers

please help me!!!

i cant connect to q3 servers always apear this text THERE IS NO ANSWER FROM THE SERVER

Or server is depressed so it doesn't like to talk to people it doesn't know.

And try updating to pointrelease 1.32, this is a masterserver problem.

ill trayed to update the 1.32 but when I was instaled , i opened the console but there was the same olde version 1.27

do you know some servers wis that version? :O

you dident install the update to the right directory, Manually point the update to the quake 3 Folder and try again.

ill instaled in this directory C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena and its right... and when I finish the instaling there apear text the 1.32 patch is now instaled :/

no answer from quake3world.com? There is no quake server at quake3world.com. Why are you trying to connect to a website to play a game?

That doesn't make sense.

At the bottom of the multiplayer screen in older versions it says visit Quake3world.com. Maybe that's what he means, and why he's here:)

Hi......... I`m a Newbie and the same problem have I... Unimportant what I do

The Computer won*t connect to any server and the Message is the same as kurbuliz has. And i can*t create new ones in internet. :icon23: Has anybody an idea??? Thx a lot....

your probably having trouble connecting to idsoftware's master server.

couple of solutions

make sure your firewall "if any" is allowing quake3 access to the net.
&
download a server finding program other then the one built into the game ,try ASE or gamespy3d.
it is a known issue with the master server
