I don't get how all of these tests are so close together. I did these with a timedemo I recorded while playing dm8 on a crowded server with about 12 ppl on the map.
I can feel more lag when I play at 1600 res, but the timedemo doesn't really show much of a difference between everything maxed out at 1600 and the lowest settings at 640.
This is my setup:
P4-800fsb 3.0
9800 pro with Omega drivers
1 gig 3800 ddr
did you update that videocard from another? did you make sure you cleaned out the Old Drivers ( uninstalled ) before you installed the Omega's? And did you take a look at the Other thread involving ATI perforamce in reguards to Doom3/Quake4.
I get pretty much the same thing. Hardly any FPS change between 640 low and 1280 high. In my case, my cpu is holding back the full potential of my gfx card.
I think I found the problem. Some of us are using the old "timedemo" which apparently doesn't work right anymore? Using the command "playnettimedemo" seems to work. Give that a try.
