The Colbert Report

Post by Nightshade »

Ex-Daily Show "reporter" Steven Colbert's new show, comes on right after the Daily Show. Anyone watching it? It seems to be pretty much more of the Daily Show, which is always a good thing, just nothing new about it.

I don't get it here, unfortunately.

I watched it for the first time last night. Pretty funny. Sometimes he takes his fake air of superiority a bit far, but it was still good. I'll probably add it to the DVR tonight.

I've watched it a few times, it's pretty funny. He does such a good job of lampooning all the Hannity's and OReilly's

Pretty good. His interviews are usually hilarious....some of the other stuff is hit or miss.

Umm, that's part of the parody. Haven't you seen Bill O'Reilly acting out the exact same things that Colbert is being arrogant about?

I think it's hilarious - when Bill O'Reilly was on the Daily Show he said something about it.

The two shows compliment each other, which is pretty good. Its more of the same type of humor.

I seen the one with sharpton last night I thought it was really good. The way he conducted the interview was awsome as long as sharpton was quick with the awnser. I imagine if the person he's interviewing is an idiot he's going to make them look like an idiot. Can't wait.

Ehh, it was nice a few times, but he grates after a while. He was great as a back up to john, but a full show of him is too much.

it's more like the original daily show (pre-stewart)

great parody of the pundit talkshows like o'reilly factor etc. otherwise yea, just a full 22min of colbert bits just like they would have written for him for the daily.

i think the similarity arries because Craig Kilborn is a huge egotistical cock. Colbert shares some of craig's same delivery in that vein.
