Seems to me like too much hassle for updating. Glad i still have the latest pbweb version.

Woah cool they updated it to a more gui-friendly version.

This is even easier infact, if you have multiple pb-enabled games installed, it will let you choose them to add them to the main window, then when you hit update it scans them all and looks for newer files.

But there are some kinks with it I think, for q3 it told me the dlls 'are not a valid windows image' or something, it said it updated but I'm not completely sure if it did.

Good start though.

Ok I put the exe in a seperate folder since all you need is 1 that works for every game, q3 was detected ok now and it updated. Nice! :p

Yes, if you have several games it's good, but for just one game (q3a) i liked pbweb. Try troubleshooting this program with someone who doesn't know where it goes wrong.

PBSetup is just as slow as pbweb, sadly. It's a bit more accessible though. Next time i get kicked for an outdated PB client i'll update manually. Hopefully it won't dl with 0.00001 byte per minute like pbweb: the Planck scale of download speeds! :icon30:

Edit: yay hit 500!

It downloaded the updates pretty fast here. The problem with pbweb was that there was a timer delay before it got a response from the server (happened frequently if you launched pbweb twice in succession). Maybe it was deliberate so the server wouldn't get jammed. This thing seems to do it a lot faster though, on my end at least.

pbweb always downloaded fast and almost immediately. Only problem i had was that it would never get all the updates in one run.

Maybe once it downloaded fast here. I think sluggishness is the general experience with pbweb.
