Rufus v fnaticVo0 at dutch Regroup LAN competition

Post by DRuM »

Spoke to rufus today, and I didn't know he'd just been in a LAN. These are the zipped 3 demos posted at ESR which I've linked direct, the original link doesn't work. For anyone who's been living under a rock, VoO recently won the 2nd place $100,000 prize v fatality in painkiller. Watch them in this order ideally:

Phrantic
edge
blip.

You'll need pro-blip tourney1, and you'll need the revised edge map called q4dm7tmp.

If you don't wanna know who won, don't even click on these last 2 links yet.

Contrary to my previous thread about demos, these are actually quite good to watch. Btw, there is no score or names shown in the edge demo, some bug or other. Just have to keep tabs yourself on the score, but they're all rufus pov.

The link doesn't work because of the dots in it...
I'll try if it works http://homepage.ntlworld.com/luke1995/j ... ic-vo0.zip

Ye, but some of these players can do it backwards, but prefer to hump for safety :)

There is a very simple method, not the crouch slide jump one, that is much quicker and therefore safer. :icon32:

Would you mind editing and fixing your original link then thank you. :)

Won't be able to view this demo till monday. :/

I still read harsh comments on the maps, this time mainly on pro-bl1p, but also on phrantic in other demo threads. I hope some good new favorites will be found soon for Q4...

Yeah man, only people who run away are pussies. I mean, think about it-- Why would one need to run away? I mean, arn't you supposed to meet in the middle and fight? Well that's what I do! Plus if you think about it, almost everyone believes in this running and gunning philosophy so it has to be true. Right?
