I have a Dual Power Mac G5 2ghz with ATI x800 XT 4 gigs RAM.
Quake 3, r_smp = 0, timedemo 1, demo = 224 fps
Quake 3, r_smp = 1, timedemo 1, demo = 357 fps
I realize people had gripes with Doom 3's lackluster performance on Macs. If ID applied the SMP stuff to Doom 3 and Quake 4 (for Mac port), I think it would resolve those problems.
