Yes but just cut off the dry end of it, same with broccolis and cauly flower, just take a bit longer to cook/steam.

Just to be safe, take a shit in a corner put the mushrooms into your shit and let them sit there for a few days. That way you'll be eating your own shit instead of someone elses.

And since fungus is a renewable resource, all you'd need is rainfall to survive on them.
Eating your own shit doesn't work. Eventually the nutrients are stripped out too much... But a fungus would be enough to sustain you for at least another few days.
