Patch help

Hi i just installed quake 3 and downloaded the 1.32 patch, but it wont let me install it because it says something about an error decompressing quake3.exe or something and a the end it says
err = -9
i did a minimal install - would that be whats wrong with it?
please help

Possible. Try a full installation then run the patch again.

If not, then it might be a corrupted download.

update:
reinstalled with maximum option, rebooted, patch still doesnt install. im going to download it again.
by the way, do you need to download all the other patches?
and could you suggest a download location please

You only need the latest patch, 1.32.
