quake 4 release theory...

I might be very wrong, but it seems like mircosft rushed the xbox 360 launch to have it out before the holidays. Do you guys think this had an impact on raven/id software releasing quake 4? It efinately appears, atleast the mp component, seems rushed. Maybe raven/id had an agreement with microsoft that stated that quake 4 would be launch title, and they had to keep up with what microsft was doing... So this could be mostly microsofts fault for having raven/id release quake 4 sooner then they wanted too. This is just a theory.

No seriously, of course it was rushed, was it rushed for xbox? Who knows, nearly every game release in the last several years has been rushed at the end. Just the way things work these days.

All we can hope for is that the game continues to get the attention it deserves and the map pack is a fantastic step in the right direction even if there are those who are unhappy with it.

As I said in another thread, my fickle love has been re-earned. :icon25:

or, and this is just a thought, the game was meant primarily as a singleplayergame and they decided to make a MP portion for it as well with the feel of q3.

i wonder...

well i personally like playing a game for its singleplayer not as much for multi.

Nah MKJ, there are quotes where both segments where supposed to recieve the same amount of attention, and nobody just tacks on something to a game with bugs like autodownload not working, sounds being dropped all over the place, and stuff like that, it was rushed...
