I'd love to be able to play some of these great new Q4 custom maps I see here. Althought I supose until the whole custom pk4 download problem gets fixed the server would get almost no use :(

I think Denz is agreeable to using his most awesome server as a testbed - when the autodownload stuff gets fixed.

It would be sweet if you were able to put one up. :]
It has happened once already iirc, but sadly it did not last long.
What is this download problem you speak of?

oh, autodownload, I should've known.
I dont think thats really a big problem.
Since it'd be a q3w server, everyone would know where to look for a link for faster download, wouldnt they?

If I could I would host one, I just dont have a server to offer :tear:

I think the problem is not so much autodownload as much as, if you dont have all of the same pk4's that are on the server you will not be able to get on the server at all.

I just think that a beta server would have a constantly changing number of pk4's on it that would really be a hinderance to players.

I know it took me forever to finally get on the uZa custom server because I didnt have the right version one particular map.... I wasnt even sure what map it was so I had to redownload the servers entire map rotation just to make sure I had the correct maps

I had a Q3 LEM server back in the days. Was actually played alot on in the beginning, but people lost interest or something after a few months.
