Little question about multiple displays.

Post by Deji »

Okay, so I have a Club3D 9800Pro (CGA-P988TVD). The card has a normal monitor connector, a DVI(-I?) connector and a TV-Out. I also have a DVI to normal monitor adapter.

Question as follows: can I run a dual display setup and will I be able to duplicate one of the 2 main displays onto the TV, essentially having 3 displays with the ATI drivers?

No. The 9000 series only supports 2 outputs at any one time.

I know this to be true of the 9000 itself, you may be lucky with the 9800 as it's newer. Also, it might be possible with those tweaked omega drivers or such, I've not tried them (and don't run ATI on this PC)

I ran 3 displays off an 8500LE with Catalyst Control Panel. I had the main desktop on my monitor and a duplicated extension on the two other displays.

i would need to agree with toxic, i have ran my 19" CRT, and a 17" CRT with the TV cloning the 17" CRT ( 2nd display )

i tryed it on the Old control pannel, not the new one.. so i wouldent know where to start.

btw, i am running a authentic ATI 9800 pro :)

I'd have to say that ATI is shit without its control panel.
