Clanbase Q4TDM Eurocup 99% complete...

Post by Ezekiel »

I'll admit that I was a little suprised at the quality of the first season, and although Vorv et all were knocked out I enjoyed keeping an eye on what was going on.

It'll be interesting to see how the teams develop after this: it wasn't really shocking to see ic make it to the finals in the USA, but there were some big names that should be able to mount a decen't challenge next season once they've polished their game a little.

The 4K team are arguably the same players that won the last Q3 TDM EC under the guise of Ironfist against similar opponents, while aAa and FOE are still looking as solid as ever. GUNK, who were knocked into the losers bracket (where they will face aCtion for the final USA slot), were the most intruguing team present this season - they all seem to be ex M5/PZZ and Deegroller players that never quite preformed for their respective clans at european level in Q3, yet they seem to have gelled and now form a very strong team indeed.

The rest of the clans proved to be erratic as expected - dignitas (bring back DC!) are a prime example of the teams capable to causing an upset on their day, but crashing out after the group stages.

Have any other people been following the EC over the course of the current competition, and if so, what did you make of it?

Edit: links added, post cleaned.

I've not heard much about the TDM scene over the pond - are there any teams currently playing that are on par with teams like GUNK and ic?

In what could be regarded as a shock result, aCtion booked their place on the plane with a 3-0 win in their playoff match with GUNK. That brings my rather belated coverage to a conclusion. :D
