Why does Quake 3 mess the ui up in 1280x1024?

No other game does it. Not even team Arena.

But Q3, when in 1280x1024, everything is off, the buttons are in the wrong place and stuff...

Any ideas? Or is it just a bug id never fixed?

I did r_mode -1 on my laptop (1280x800) and i see what he is talking about, you push esc, see the menu in the middle and about 200px on each side you can still see the game.

go in q3. make res 1280x1024. go into multiplayer menu. look at fight button. part of its missing. cannt be fixed by moving screen around. told.
