Hi,
As you might have noticed, one of our profile servers (which your account is on) has been rather slow recently. Affected users are noticing that their charts are taking ages to update, and neighbours are not calculated fast enough. This is due to the changes we're making in the way profile data is stored and searched. You can read more about it in RJ's Journal and this forum entry.

The new profile system should be in place within 2 weeks - unfortunately, meanwhile you may continue to experience slow chart-updates. We're really sorry about this, it does suck mightily. All your scrobbling is being logged though, so your charts will return in all their glory once we're over this hurdle.

To sweeten the deal we're upgrading your account with a free 1 month subscription. (or extending it if you already subscribe). Along with the usual subscriber perks, you'll have access to the beta test of the new site update (in early June). This will give you a chance to try out the new charts system before everyone else, and tell us what you think before it's launched.

Regards,
The Last.fm Team

After testing all this out the extra features are pretty neat, expecially seeing whose visited your page, eases the paranoia. :paranoid: I'm tempted to keep subscribing.

Yeah, I figured. :)

Btw:
Don't panic, Resplended! Over the next 72 hours we are performing a major upgrade to our track submissions system. During this time, your "tracks played" counter and overall charts will be paused. Your "recent tracks" will function as normal, no data will be lost, and by the end of the week you'll be enjoying much better service from our shiny new system. This box will disappear once the upgrades are complete. Thanks for your patience. — Team Last.fm
Wahoo, finally.

Oh I forgot, another handy feature is seeing what all my friends are listening to on one page. :) I probably wont keep upgrading though, as I'm only going to have time to use it weekends so it's not really worth my money. I would most definately upgrade if I had the time to fully use it.

i used to use last.fm before my harddrive failed, but never really used the site too much. I never really got around to re-installing it and i can't really be bothered.

Bump to say the new beta is looking sexy.
The new recommendation radio is very nice indeed, though the layout still needs some work, imo it seems a bit bloated.

Edit: Ooh, press the little lightswitch in the top right.
