Quake 3 Bid For Power, Multiplayer

Post by Kernel32 »

oke, so i hope i posted in the right part of the forum, believe me i have looked where to post :).
so here is my question, im trying to get into a multiplayer game with the Bid For Power Dragonball Z mod. but, first it says: 108 of 108 arena servers scanning, then it just comes up with the message: no servers found, and when i try to host myself, i can get in, but my friend cant connect to me, which is probably because i have a router.

i hope someone has experienced this before. and can help me. i would be very gratefull :).

That is very...very cruel. I don't think I like you, Sean. Just kidding. Make sure you both have the same version of Quake 3. Start Q3, hit the ~ key, and look in the lower right corner to check. Also, when starting a server send your palls the server's IP, which should be yours. If you don't know your own go to whatismyip.com to find out quickly. Your IP should be the sequence of numbers that's separated by decimal points.

After you start your server, your friends should /connect <insert the server's IP here>

Hope that works for you, Sean. : ]
