Tips for returning QUakers?

I am a returning quaker

(btw i got the full version of Q3 once again thanks to my friends and Bittorrent hehe)

I want to get some tips from the hardcore players coz I lost the spark i had when I played Quake 3 back then/..

I'm a 17 year old player by the way...

any tips will be helpful and I will be very grateful to the ones who can help me bring back my Q3 king status...
