I watched half of it. Maybe it gets better towards the end? Because I've seen Quake III maps from 2 years ago that looked better.

Wow brings back some really good memories.

Facility was my favorite map.

Library on paintball mode was pretty fun too.

Makes me want to go get my friends N64 and a copy of goldeneye again

I wouldn't be expecting much from this mod.

This mod is actually surprisingly fun once you get used to the speed and the lack of crosshair. I can't wait until the next version comes out. Hopefully more maps & weapons. I personally can't wait for Bunker :icon26:

Wow. It looks like MGM really doesn't like this mod. I wonder if they've ever actually said anything to the mod creators themselves? Though, honestly, somehow it seems like it might be a little bit too late to stop them.

Why would they want to stop them?
This is like advertising for them.

No one is making money from it, and MGM is getting advertising.
What I don't understand is why they would wish so hard to stop them.

But who gives a ****.
We will always do what we wish as long as we have computers.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Well, MGM is probably pissed because of the fact that there are alot of ports of official maps from the old Goldeneye game for the N64.
This being the case, if somebody was faced with paying for the old N64 game or just downloading this mod for free, they'd choose the mod (this is assuming they have the HL2 base game to run the mod)

So, this is actually more potential cash that would go to Valve than MGM because people would more likely buy HL2 since this is kind of advertising their engine.

Keeping in mind that N64 and its games are no longer on the market, it's the principle of the idea of Valve making money indirectly through MGMs game that is most likely irritating. I'd be a little indignant about it myself.

Even so it's kind of petty of MGM to be against this mod. They should be happy that they made such a bitchin' game that people want to play it STILL and even recreate it to bring the game to those who weren't fortunate enough to experience the greatness that is Goldeneye.

Or could it be that Goldeneye is (hopefully) on the verge of being rereleased for the Wii's virtual console? Providing Rare/MGM/Nintendo and whoever owns the rights to Bond games (EA?) can sort out $$$ deals on it.

From what I've heard, that's not likely. Apparently Rare or whoever is with Microsoft now.
