Its never too late for a rerelease - Q3A ELECTRONICS!!!

Post by -=skOre=- »

Hey there die-hard editors :)

It has been three years and I'm currently studying Computer Engineering, and something in the classes about "AND-Gates" and "OR-Gates" felt really familiar. It then came to my mind that I had taken down all my quake stuff, which is a pity imho, so here you go:

Q3A Electronics rereleased

If anybody could tell me how to get the gtkradiant working under kubuntu, I would feel the urgent need to release all my maps I've ever done as CreativeCommon .map files. (plz help!)

Where exactly do things go awry and what messages does it produce?

Problems occur when I try to make it into a .deb package with alien. It always spits out a couple of errors (it seems as if it couldn't find some dependencies or something like that). Yet I just found out that the actually built directories and files that it spits out are useable. I have to find out to what extend - the program starts out just fine.

I have about 150-200 map files sitting on my hd waiting to be digged through - Does anybody want to help me? I will probably release them as CC BY-NC-SA anyways...

Are you building from source? If so, you might want to use checkinstall to create the .deb. If all else fails, post the errors.

No, I was until now trying to create the .deb from the .rpm. I'm still a gnu noob when it comes to building stuff from source. Will see what I can do :)

Apart from that, I'm currently instaling ioquake3 :) Aparently stuff has happened since I last looked at the scenery around the gpl released q3 source...
