I downloaded a map pack but have no clue how to activate it.
Help please im new at downloads for my Quake 3 team arena.
1. Put the mappack onto a flash drive.
2. Insert flash drive into anus.
Just kidding. I know that for Quake 3 you have to put your mappacks into your Quake III Arena/baseq3 folder, but for Team Arena you might have to put that map into your Quake III Arena/mpteam/base folder or something like that.
Good thing I was absolutely useless! : D

Indeed.
-If in zip, extract.
-Usually, maps should be in a PK3 file. Copy that to Quake3/missionpack
-Start Q3:TA
-Select map from skirmish menu or start a server or type /map mapname

Note: because of uploading to some sites, some mappers choose to just RENAME the .pk3 to .zip format.
If that is the case, you need to change the extension back to .pk3.
If the zip does not contain an extractable .pk3, but instead has some folders in it named "textures" "scripts" "maps" then you should rename the .zip to .pk3 and simply move it to the correct folder.
