There are limitations, Direct3D isn't supported because the emulator doesn't access your devices directly, rather MS selected some specific hardware to emulate. The graphics card is something like an S3 Trio and the motherboard is an old Intel chipset.
Of course, it still interfaces with your CD drive and indirectly with your network adapter.

Yeah, I'm digging it so far. I've been using dosbox but it can be a hassle with the settings on each game. This is more like what I want without dual booting. :icon14:
By far the most awesome thing for retro games. It does seem to have issues with something like direct3d, or OpenGL, but I have fun with the classics I grew up with: Amazon Trail, Myst etc.
