Q3W talent show
Q3W talent show
I just had an idea that might prove to be pretty damn fun.
I propose that we set a deadline, several months from now, for a Q3W talent show. You can sing, play guitar, play drums, dance, build stuff with your hands, code something, do a 300 foot endo, whatever. If you can get digital proof of you doing something we should see its acceptable (porn and illegal acts not included, use your brains). You would have from the designated start until the deadline to create a new whatever. What I mean by that is you can't enter a song you've already written or an entertainment stand you already built. By all means, feel free to complete a previous project. Just don't submit something for us, submit it for you. This is about being creative, increasing your skills, and having fun.
I can provide hosting for the files so that wont be an issue. I can say right now that I don't plan to win. But I do plan to have fun and push myself to learn some songs on the guitar. Is anyone else up to the challenge?

Here's a work in progress pic.
It's called Fisherman--it's an art doll. It's about halfway done but hopefully you get the idea. It looks fucked up because it's not fully stuffed yet. I need to get the needle inside the doll still so it's only partially stuffed.

One of the legs I'm still beading

I try to work on it a bit every day but between work and the color class I'm taking, I've not had much time.
Okay. Go ahead and make fun.
I can't make fun - I love beading!!!! Yay - girlie shit!!!!! :icon25: :lub:Wabbit wrote:You'll make fun of itek wrote:what exactly is your forte?![]()

I'm hoping to make some money off this stuff. This doll goes to a shop in Chester when I'm done with it.
I'm taking a class in doll making with Akira Blount the first weekend in May. She doesn't say dolls though...she calls them figures in mixed media. I won't argue. One of her pieces is in the Louve.
