Settings won't save

Why do I have to change my settings every single time I load this game? Every time I play, I have to put in my name, my game options, my disply settings, my controls, etc. I also have to change my sensitivity and mouse acceleration settings, too. This is getting old. How can I get these to save?

Make sure the main config isn't read only. Its in the baseq3 folder.

to do this,find your quake III folder,its most likely in c:/program files/quakeIII arena
look for a file called q3config in the folder called baseq3,right-click on it and select properties,then uncheck the read-only box.
also do this to any other q3configs that you might find in other folders in your quakeIII folder. i.e.-instaunlagged osp,cpma,dm ect...

Also if you start the game with ASE, you need to reconfig your settings.
