Storage is an important part of email, but that doesn't mean you should have to worry about it. To celebrate our one-year birthday, we're giving everyone one more gigabyte. But why stop the party there? Our plan is to continue growing your storage beyond 2GBs by giving you more space as we are able. We know that email will only become more important in people's lives, and we want Gmail to keep up with our users and their needs. From Gmail, you can expect more.
I thought maybe it was another April fool's joke, but it seems to be true. Don't really need that much space, but whatever. :icon14:
My storage is only up to 1.3 GB, though. I wonder what that's all about... Does anyone else actually have 2 GB in their account, now?
(BTW you've probably heard that Yahoo is upgrading their storage capacity on their free mail service to 1GB, which is good enough for me)
I've always preferred Yahoo mail to Gmail, and I have a Yahoo account, too. But the IT people here at work blocked it, so I needed to create a new, large, and free email account that I could still access at work.
yes it does and a few mb's will be added every some time

Exactly.
There's a fine line between common tech-related commentary and nerdism, and I'll walk it right now. Who the fuck uses web-based e-mail? Grow up and use POP3.
