TV-Out Anyone?
I use Composite cables and TV-Out looks pretty shit, even compared to videogame console output. I have an ATI radeon 9500.
I'm starting to think that maybe it's the cheap cable I bought. On one end it connects to my Graphics card and my Sound card, on the other are the familiar Red/White/Yellow TV composite connectors.
Anyone know where I can buy this cable, and how I might distinguish the cheap cables from a good one? Perhaps signal interference or degraded quality from the cable is to blame.

composite is ass no matter what. more expensive cables will not make a significant visual difference if any at all. it's all about insulation and terminators when it comes to the higher end cables.
signal interference doesn't sound like the culprit at all, but maybe go to a local brick and mortar and buy some expensive cable for the hell of it. you can always return it with some lame excuse.

Displaying anything from a computer to a CRT TV looks like Junk, but as R0n1n said Video's as well as Videogames look relivly good to good.
its the same with my media center, to get the best look out of my 27" i need to run the res at 640X480 with a littlebit of overscan for me to be able to read the icon's and etc on the screen.. wile media center itsself looks good.

Is this the cable I should be using?
http://www.pricegrabber.com/user_sales_ ... id=6130270
I think the one I have is sort of like that. Perhaps the conversion from S-video to composite this cable provides decrease the visual quality?
EDIT:
On this site, http://www.showmecables.com/showProduct ... ory_id=139, see the
255-207
S VIDEO+AUDIO to 3 'RCA' ADAPTER CABLE
It says "Ordinary, 'included in the box' S-video and composite RCA cables often use low-quality materials with inferior shielding that can result in poor sound and picture quality." I'll give this one a try and report back once I get it.
