quake 3 arena issue

I load quake 3 arena and i always get "no response from master server" what can i do to fix it?

Give us more details

- Do you have the latest patch for the game?

- What type of connection do you have?

- Do you have a router or firewall that could be interfering?

- Did you try using an external server browser like all-seeing eye http://videogames.yahoo.com/multiplayer
