104c/L - Fuel Price

Post by Turbine »

Well this is officially the most expensive fill up ever, at 104 cents per liter. Why is it so high now?

How are the prices doing in your area?

They're only around 2.70 / gallon... They need to be around twice that.

you're just noticing now that gas prices are getting ridiculous again? Well actually they've been ridiculous for a long time now...but are spiking again it seems.
As for why, read up.

IMO they should make the price at least 5$ / gallon here, either through taxing or otherwise. It would make hybrid cars worth buying, and it would give people a reason to look into alternative transportation.

If they did it suddenly, the economy would take a massive shot to the nuts. And it probably wouldn't ask for seconds.

1.25 US Dollar = 0.93240 Euro /Liter for you guys
currently the dutchos have 1.30 Euro = 1.74303 US Dollar /Liter

Because we all know we'll get to that comparison eventually anyway.

I think I paid about $2.70/Gal yesterday.

I read a couple days ago that the Chinese have decided to start buying all their oil in Euros instead of dollars.

Somebody please explain to me why we haven't become total allies with the Chinese yet, at any cost. We're already tied to them at the hip economically - it seems stupid to keep them at arm's length and let them buddy up with Iran and Russia (which they've already been doing).

if you cry about the prices, perhaps it's time for a different choice in cars or means of transportation.
