Anyone know anything about fixing Xboxes?

Post by Nightshade »

I got the flashing green and orange lights this morning. This is the original Xbox, not a 360.
A quick google search told me that this means system failure, either mobo or HDD. Either way, that fucking sucks.

Lil' help?

I think thats a cable fault? If you check in the original manual, it will tell you that an orange and green flashing light is a cable, not hardware problem.

Do the obvious, take it all out, blow everything, put it all back in making sure its all secure, and it should work. If not, then the xbox is bust from the AV connection, but I doubt its that.

Heres a link on the problem:

That was it, one shove on the cable and the light's green again. :icon14:
I saw the lights and assumed the worst, probably should have looked at it first. Thanks o'dium.
