Strange one this.
I used to be on XP SP2, and the HDD worked then. However when using default XP, the second partition refuses to open in windows, it just says "F:\ not accessable. The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable."
But like I said, it works perfectly fine in SP2, just when I use default XP it refuses to work.
Of course an obvious fix woul be just install SP2, but I dont have that choice for the next week or so on this PC.
So, is there a workaround for this? It seems like something simple is causing the problem, I just fail to see a solution.
Info:
Wont open in windows, but registers as a drive there.
Right clicking and viewing the drive says it has 0 bytes.
Check Disk wont work, at all. Pressing start just cloes the small window, it doesn't do anything.
Defrag can't run on this volume type, if I try to run defrag.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Second HDD Partition "unreadable/corrupt"...?
Yeah, I can understand that. I've only had SP2 for....4 years and it is...........wait a minute.
SP2 has prevented many serious viruses from infecting computers instantly upon install and connection to the Internet. The only time my "Net" has been screwed up is when my ISP has screwed things up.
XP disks have been coming out with SP2 on them for approx. 3-4 years [legit ones anyway].
No, I don't understand this reasoning at all.
