Linux help...

Post by vegittoss15 »

I recently installed Q3A on my Kubuntu install, and I tried to run the game at a res of 1280x1024, but part of the right side of the image draws offscreen, and since I'm running a digital display, I can't change my monitor's geometry. Any and all help would be appreciated.

The lower res fixes it, but the point is I want to play at my monitor's native resolution (it's an LCD) and I've seen other people report a perfect game at 1280x1024

You can try altering r_displayrefresh to 60 then doing vid_restart at the console, but on a flatscreen it shouldn't really matter I think.

You can also try loading a level then pressing the 'auto calibration' button on your TFT to bring the picture within the edges of the screen.

Hopefully one of those will fix.

I guess he's noticing the long-standing q3_ui bug not liking non 4:3 res.

It's normal.
