The Office US

yea, so I was watching this last night, never seen the US version before.

this is really terrible. I'm not saying that because I'm such a huge fan of The Office and a purist nerd, not at all even. But really, the things happening in this show are just too overdone to be funny, its not in a realistic scope or even a surrealistic scope. There was no way I could relate to any of the 'office-events'.

In fear of generalizing, yankee teevee execs really dont get it do they. And it's odd because I know they can do it; Office Space actually was relatable to some extent.

so anyways. yea. its terrible. the only 'redeeming' factor was the guy who played the boss - he did an aight job - and the facial expressions of the office manager/secretary girl.. Pam I think her name was.

right. end rant. discuss.

Its been american-ized dude thats why. Its all yanky jokes and shit which I hear are not even that funny to yanks.

However, that girl that plays the receptionist is hot, and shes even hotter in blades of glory.

Tried to watch it twice. I kept waiting for it to become hilarious, then lowered my expectations to maybe having sporadic laughter or maybe a little smile - then turned it off. Very unfunny.

i liked the US Office (its not amazing or anything though) more than the british version.
but admittedly id have to wathc more of the brit one.
