Burning DVD

Using XP and Nero how is it best to copy a DVD/CD if you only have one DVD/CD drive?
Will Nero give an option to write to disk and then instruct to put blank DVD in?

Or is it best to just copy the DVD to HD and then put in a blank and write from the file I just put on the HD?

nero can do a disccopy with only 1 drive. itll first copy everything in an 'image' to the hdd and then copy it back to the blank disc
