i know i posted already, but now its in the right forum.
Anyways, if anyone has this mod working or knows the steps to get it working i'd like to know. I've updated q3a to 1.17 and installed demonic mod, not sure what else was to it??

well, i've never heard of the mod...and don't know many running 1.17. But the file should come with a readme.txt file or something close to that.
Should have all the info needed to install the mod successfully, if not...where you d/l'd it from should.
edit: btw, usually getting kicked back to the main menu when trying to execute a mode means the install failed, didn't complete, isn't compatible with you PR ect ect... ReadMe is your friend.

ok, I'm gonna try the console dump command now, but I tried a Q3 Version switcher from 1.16
1.32...and none of them worked...has nobody else tried this mod???
I've read the readme and there are no instructions for the install, apparently team eeg made the mod but they no longer exist...
I'm about to give up on it, and see what other mods are best for a 8v8 lan.

man...my brain is practically a Q3 Encyclopedia, and I've never heard of the mod :icon28:
For whatever PR it runs on, open up a notepad, and name it "demonicsoccer.bat" and cut-n-paste whats down below onto it:
cd ..
start quake3.exe +set fs_game demonsoccer
:and where I typed demonsoccer, put the mods folder name on it instead. Then put the .bat file into the mods folder, and make a shortcut from it to the desktop....double-click it When your there at its main screen(which may not even have a different screen-logo512.jpg added to it)just open the console and type:
\sv_maxclients "16"
\g_gametype "3"
\map mapname
g_gametype 3 is for team play and most team mods stick to it..so...
For "mapname" you need to find one of the maps names...and to do that...open up the .pk3 file for the mod with your Winzip program, and look through it until you get to the map folder part, and look at the files that are followed by .bsp and there will be your names to the maps...like for Q3A's maps...they are q3dm1.bsp, q3dm2.bsp, pro-q3dm6.bsp, etc, etc.
..minded you have to find what PR it runs on first...I suggest skipping 1.17 to 1.29. The main PR's that have been used are 1.16n for older mods, and 1.30, 1.31 and 1.32 all share the ability to run the same mods that have been the later mods...like OSP, Excessive, Generations, Headhunters3, Cpma..etc, minded that there are some 1.16 versions of them too.
