Yeah cheers man. Not what I was expecting when I woke up sat morning and checked my email, but a nice surprise nonetheless

Nah, at least not to my knowledge. I spoke with Eddy-Temple Morris this morning over the phone and he wants me to do a 30 min guest mix. It's a big deal cos the guest mix normally belongs to MASSIVE artists or those which have made a big name in the dance/rock scene.... so for me to come out of nowhere and be on the show is incredible really. I run the label along with 3 other people, and we all do the music. That track played last night was one of mine, but it's not released on vinyl until the end of the year/early next year. Our first release was put out August 1st.Don Carlos wrote:Do you get any royalties for that then sir?brisk wrote:Yeah cheers man. Sounds like your going places mate! WP
You have been into this for a while so it is good news and shows how these things can pay off if you stick at them
I will still always own you on ZTN though, no matter how famous you become

It sounds like the dj was going ape over your music.. No wonder you're getting such great opportunities. So if you guys are anonymous, how are you going to approach doing a half hour radio show?
Re: My music/label was on XFM radio UK Friday night
We'll go down and do it of course. But we won't be giving out real names/photos or anything... mainly because theres unlicensed samples and we don't want to be suedDave wrote:It sounds like the dj was going ape over your music.. But nah, it'll be fun i'm sure.

Very early nineties indeed
Well done, i thought rave was dead
Is this old work or new?
Any chance re-emerge is gonna revive the early 2000 techno scene?

dude that's awesome. quality stuff! it's cool to hear about being an aspiring musician myself.
Re: My music/label was on XFM radio UK Friday night
I'm not usually into that kind of music but that was great, well done
.
So, is it re-merge or re-a-merge? I'm going for re-merge.

Re: My music/label was on XFM radio UK Friday night
Sorry, didn't know you were waiting on my reply. I will say this though: would you even understand the difference if I told you? FWIW, the tracks are a combination of samples and our own production, just like they were back in the day. In fact, many of the samples we used were probably samples in the first place. Learn a bit of history about the genre if you're interested (which I know you aren't), but don't expect me to go into another electronic music debate with you.

Music made using computers and synthesisers isn't real music.
There, I said it for you. Now, got anything else to say, or are you just gonna stay a bitter ignorant fuck like usual?

don't bother or waste your time. Something’s happened to riddla over the last few months, he's really defensive and confrontationalbrisk wrote:Music made using computers and synthesisers isn't real music.

I’m guessing something like another failed relationship, or death in the family.

I could argue with you all night but alas, I have to prepare a guest mix for a station that gets between 500,000-1,000,000 listeners. Sorry riddla!
