Bots are not following orders...

Hi, i'm new to this game so I have a question: Why don't bots follow the my orders? I am team leader, I say something like "doom follow me" or something to that effect. I get no response, nor does the bot even listen, he acts as if I had never said anything. Also when I was playing the demo of quake 3 before I bought it, you could see all your teammates names in the team orders menu, but I don't see it in the actual game. All I see is "everyone". I have quake 3 updated to 1.32, so what is going on?

I assume you're playing CTF or TDM? Have you typed "I am the leader" before giving orders?

Yes I did, but heres the thing, they only respond from the team orders menu. Which would be fine if it actually listed all my teammates like it did in the demo, also it does not have all the commands that just typing the commands has.

Make sure you're typing the command to team chat and not the public chat

Alright, I fixed the problem where normal bots do not follow orders, but for some reason the new bot I made will not follow any orders I give him. I say, "I am the leader" then give a command, I use the say_team bind. How do you get a custom bot to follow orders?

Don't know how to fix this but I can offer a sort of solution. UIE is a menu mod for Quake 3 that is 1.32 and 1.32c compatiable. Apart from coming with a excellent little in game interface for map rotation bot selection etc, the ingame bot menu works and has even more options than the original one. I've never had any problems with custom bots either. I have this installed on my daughters machine as she just likes to play single player CTF and order all the bots about. awww. bless.
