Japanese beer

Post by horton »

I was not really enjoying my beer, but a really hot summer has dealt with that.

Ive been trying to find some nice Japanese beers, and so far the winner is........

but I have a problem, I feel that I am an absolute barbarian, I have a glass of beer - with ice ...

recently Ive had some hoegaarden...both the regular (white?) and the grand cru, both were wonderful

and after all ive heard about spattan optimator, i can reveal that it is shit. pure liquid shit in a bottle.
it tastes like fucking special brew :puke:

Hoegaarden for sure...but optimator was filthy, it tasted like something I would have drunk when I was 15, just because it was strong.

optimator rocks! though i must admit that the bottled stuff is rather shite compared to having it on tap. but it's still good :)

An ice cold Hoegaarden in a frozen glass on a hot summer day is awesome. Doesn't really taste much like beer though, more like lemonade.

In all regards.........

Asians cant make a decent beer. It's all about rice and crap.

However they know how to make Saki.

Spaten Optimator is a decent beer. Beats anything the asians have tried to brew. Along with the 7.? ABV. Granted it ain't for everyone as it is very full bodied with a large amount of hops. But what do you expect from a dopple?

You ain't drinkin a crap pilsner boy.

Just my 2 cents

Being a huge film geek, I reall wanted to like that film. Saw it twice, fell asleep both times, and I wasnt even tired...

I have only tasted Kirin, which as far as I recall tasted quite good, but nothing special.

And funnily enough I've got it recorded because I've never watched it... I don't tend to like films that people say are overrated so I don't hold out much hope for that.

Oh yeah, beer. Hoegaarden = loooooovely. I really like Duvel too, dunno how available it'll be over there, you can tell it's pretty strong (8-8.5% I think) but you acquire a taste for it.

What dyou think of Kirin lager? I didn't find it particularly offensive to my pallate but I didn't think it was anything special either.

jap's "beer" = collection of unknown chemical additives, something equivalent to Coke or Macdnald with excessive taxes  :tard: :puke:
It doesn't make a man purely happy but just furious and angry.

It can never be even "the key to heaven".

If you ever dare to have the silly risk to purchase canned beer, you should choose the smallest(135ml).
The less, the more tasty.
The same principle with Coke.

IMO, it's nothing more than another budweiser.

budweiser: more expensive than water but tastes worse

That's the stuff! Entirely too watery and flavourless for my taste, good thing it was served icecold.
