second PC

wanna get a 2nd PC, mid-range, not looking to spend alot, how are these parts ?

biostar NF4U mobo

X2 4800+ CPU

BFG 8600GT OC 256mb

PowerUp Mid case

OCZ Plat 2x1gig dual chan

Coolmax 450W PSU if not i'd use my 420W PSU i got lying around. mine has better amp on the +12v line too

$519.72 after tax without the PSU

at least i should be able to play crysis

i was using mid range for farcry @ full setting 1280-1024 without problems

Well I haven't played the beta, but I'd assume Crysis would beat any mid-range PC with a stick and then some.

i've made a few changes, will be buying all the pieces 2morrow, thursday at the latest

ram = ocz plat 2.1024 ddr2-6400

gfx = XFX 8800GTS 320mb
and case

now it's definetly not mid-range

Excellent choices for the vid card and mobo. I'm planning on getting an 8800GTS 320MB as part of my next rig upgrade.

i just hope the 8800 fits with the mobo, dont know exactly how the heat sink on the mobo is placed right by the pci-e slot

got the cpu, gfx, psu, ram today. still trying to find a different mobo maybe, its hard finding a cpu support list for the m2n mx se but i think 6000+ is max for it.

got everything up to date, still finishing installing the regular software, first game im'a try will be stalker in about an hour...
