The clerk at the local fast and easy I go to quite a bit for beer got shot Friday night. I used to shoot the shit with him all the time and he used to even throw a free cigar in every bag of beer without me ever previously buying them or any smokes. The worst part is I was in there a couple hours right before it happened, close to 2 am when I was just beating last call.

I knew something happened cause there were cops outside the next day, but I just figured someone got arrested in the parking lot...that's where people pull over a lot of the time when they get signaled to from the highway.

I guess he's okay, but that's weird, I see him all the time and saw him just a couple hours before it happened.

Bring him a beer AND a cigar and visit him in the hospital. Its the least you can do (not to mention you'll get lots of freebies at the store if he goes back to work there)
