All mods still have to be developed on PC and then moved over to the PS3 (if I remember correclty a conversion tool is required). So the PS3's mod support basically lives and dies with the success of the PC game.

Why can't you just download the mods with the PS3?
Also, DJWheat said that this was the first time a console had done "mouse & keyboard in this way"; didn't the Dreamcast have mouse & keyboard support for Q3?

Yes, I still play with the DC online (yes, the DC lives online in 2008). On the Dreamcast mouse box the main reference is regarding Q3 support.

				It's a nice feature.
Two of my friends bought UT3 for the PS3 because it supports mouse and keyboard.
Even though the Dreamcast version of Quake 3 supported Mouse, Keyboard, and server side mods.

wow that is pretty slick. Now if someone would create a put up a mod that basically fixes the game(much like OSP/q4max) and maps then wow.. Thats great.
It's a shame I always hated UT games though. Oh well.
