Doubt it sparky.

I spent around $700 for a brand new rig and it runs everything (except crysis) smooth as silk in Vista. That article was written 2 years ago. Before Vista was even released. Believe me, they were off on a few things. I also run XP dual boot. There's not that much difference in speed.

I just gota new pc last week and it has vista, I'll have to see about getting sp1. I find it's quite buggy so far but I expected as much from a new os. IT doesn't seem too slow to me but I've got 2 gig's of ram... should I get more?

Crysis review in TPCG:
If you believe Microsoft, DX10 is going to revolutionise gaming. In reality the difference is hardly noticeable and a vast majority of Crysis' DX10 effects can be enabled on DX9 simply by editing a config file. All our screen grabs were taken in DS9.
I am just to lazy to do shit like that...

Yeah, it's fine... The recall was a for a reboot loop problem with setup. Mine installed without issue and the actual patches were always clean. I have six or seven clients running it as well and none of them have had any more problems than SP0 Vista had. We've been getting a lot of corrupt profiles lately, but those have happened on both SP0 and SP1 installs. I think I have 270 Vista clients overall.

Corrupt profiles? Wow, I haven't seen that since Windows 95...
