Looks fucking awesome
GRID
Re: GRID
That looked kinda cool, but seems to be more of a sim racer than an arcade racer. And the crashes seemed a bit floaty, from the little shown.
I couldn't help but notice at the end that next to the Games for Windows, XBox 360 Live, and Sony PlasyStation 3 logos was the... Nintendo DS logo?

too bad it falls short of the definition of 'sim'MKJ wrote:oddly enough, most online Flatout races are cleanTsakali_ wrote:problem with racing sims is the lack of online servers/racers, and the hilarious assumption that you'll get to enjoy a clean race

Well no shit, but they weren't anything special. Thanks for playing though.DTS wrote:Not that I agree, but they made the Colin McCrae Rally games back on the PS1.BTW why does Codemasters pwn so hard? First DiRT, now this? Fookin' ahsum.

I think this is the next in the series since in the second video it said Race Driver Grid.

Re: GRID
given their track record i'd be willing to bet the controls will be top notch. i spent hours on Dirt and still think that game is a high benchmark to overcome.
i honestly hope this isn't looking to compete in the GT/Forza market as those two games have it pretty much nailed down. i like the halfway point that codemasters has been able to achieve in the past between arcade and realistic racing.

Re: GRID
i almost picked up dirt this weekend 'cept reviews have said that there's quite a bit of slowdown? i tried the demo awhile back and noticed a little but was hoping that was ironed out in the release. comments?
also, hell yes F1 cars...we need a proper F1 sim for the 360 though. be nice if they included a couple of real tracks (begs for Spa)

Re: GRID
I guess you're talking about the X360 version. There's no slowdown on the PC.
Also, I think Sony has had the F1 license for years now and they completely fubared it. Apparently it ends in 2009, so hopefully EA gets it back and puts out a proper multi-platform game. F1 Championship '99-'02 is a brilliant game, especially with the 1999-2005 season addons.

Re: GRID
no, let's hope EA doesn't get it back and someone else will. their previous attempts at the franchise were paltry.
