yeah, you can't do any serious work in it, but for the average person who just wants to mess with photos of their cat or whatever, it seems nice. i like the integration into the photo album too. i'm sure it'll be popular.

I'm going to bet its still easier to just steal the full version than it is to setup an account for that online express version.

it's the thin end of the wedge. In ten years we'll all be using thin clients stuffed full of hardware DRM, just like Bill wanted back in the early nineties....

1) Fill in account info
2) Click link in email verification
3) Log in

Well, that was certainly painful.

Now that I've had 5 minutes to play with it, I can say that it's pretty shit compared to the real thing, which is a bit unfair. :p

It has just enough to satisfy a n00b who wants to touch up a photo. The interface is slick and simple, but the tools are lacking. No paint brush, eraser, layers, noise reduction, or anything else complex. You can retouch, sharpen, adjust hue/contrast/etc., and distort. You can make galleries and organize multiple uploaded files. I guess it's alright for someone who wants to touch up photos for their Photobucket or Facebook galleries, but that's the most it can do.

So for being free and web-based, I can't rightly knock it.

isn't photoshop express basically a photo management tool where you can do the really basic photo fixes like red eye removal and stuff like that? It's not like it allows you to make artwork or anything does it?
