Firefox 3 Beta 5 question

Post by Akira »

Talk about a minimalist interface. I remember seeing the forwards, and backwards buttons on it before. However, as of right now, they are not there. I only have the Refresh, Stop, Home. Then the address bar, and the search bar. That's it. It is not causing any problems, because i always use the buttons on my mouse to move back and forth, and I never realized I didn't need them on the browser until now. The question still stands thou, why did they just disappear. anyone else still have them?

And on another note, how often does your Firefox 3 Beta 5 crash? Being beta and all, I get about 2 crashes per day average. Meaning some days I get none, and others I get 5. So I tough of going back to Firefox 2, until the Firefox 3 is officially out, and realized I can't do that. As soon as I got back to Firefox 2 it felt like going back to Windows 95. There is just such a huge difference, the biggest for me is how the address bar works in Firefox 3. It's completely different, and I could never go without it now. As you type regular words, key words, parts of an address and such, in real time it looks trough your favourites, history, and browsing habits and gives you neatly sorted choices, as you type. Fucking useful!

I don't have to ever click on my Bookmarks/Favourite tab ever again. I have over 500 websites in there.

Yes I have the forward and back buttons. Go to view, toolbars, customize and see if they are there. Then just drag them to the toolbar.

No crashes whatsoever yet.
