Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
sure is. i'm still running RC2 until tuesday, but figured i'd mention it. not sure why they'd release something so close to the 17th.
Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
Odd, mine has shown FF 3.0 for a little while now. No RC or anything. Did a manual check for updates. None available.
Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
It may say FF 3.0, but it's still the RC. I'm sure an update will be in order on Tuesday.

Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
So, it's june 17th 2008.
Where's mah spaceship and mah FF update?
Seriously, FF 2.0.0.14 randomly craps out on me, and I hope FF3 will resolve some of that.
Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
The servers are boggled down with everyone trying to download/update at the same time.
Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
Hehe, yeah, thought as much.
I'm actually considering going with Opera, though.
Never tried it, but from what I gleam from the thread posted below (or above if it gets bumped) it seems like a nice little, stripped down browser just suiting my spartan browsing needs.

Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
Ok, never mind all that.
Went directly to the FF European homepage and updated through there.
Downside is that I now have forced upon me the dutch version, but I'll resolve that later.
Really more interested in how stable it is for me...and I'll still give Opera a whirl.

Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
FF3 is VERY stable and is certainly faster than any of the previous versions.

By leaps and bounds and GMail no longer makes it crash. I like it.
Re: Firefox 3 RC3 out
Just installed FF3, all the add-ons are working fine. Other than some of the buttons, it doesn't seem different at all.
Oh well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it

Probably a bad extension that got fixed, because FF2 no longer crashes on me either.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:gmail has never crashed my FF sessions and i always have its tab open.
Re: Firefox 3 out!
Rock steady so far, and also noticably faster than FF2, although that also may have to do with my provider being an off-and-on cunt (Ziggo, fellow dutchies, you know what I'm saying).
I like.

Ok, either
"Rock Steady" (kudos)
or
"Ziggo" (may all your children be born with small penises. especially the girls)

They've got their genetic markup running against them, though.Plan B wrote:may all your children be born with small penises
