Q3 Map Editors for Mac?

Post by zit/ping »

It seems as if the once semi-prosperous mapping community for mac has all of a sudden disappeared. I used to use MacRadiant, but now their website has stopped and I can't get their programs to work. Is there any place I can grab a Q3 map editor for mac these days?

I suppose you can download the source from GtkRadiant's SVN and compile it against GTK. YMMV though and it's not going to integrate as cleanly as a native Cocoa app.

*Brain Exploded*

You lost me. Anything above using the ls function in a bash shell is beyond me. Where can I find this? Compile against GTK? YMMV???

(I do apologize for my inexperience)

However, I am downloading all the (what seems to be) latest versions of Macradiant from http://www.redsaurus.net/00/node/4

The guy must have had problems with the project, or just plain shut it down... because the latest forum post in the archive is 2006... I used to be on that board and everything.

I'm going to try and use the installers, and start everything up. Maybe one of you guys can help me get this all started up?

Thanks!

He means to download the source code and then compile it from scratch. You can try reading this and seeing if you're up to it:

Have you tried these links? Google pulled up those two, I'm not sure if that's the same version that you tried or not.

You may need to add GTK support for your Mac:

This looks like a precompiled version of GtkRadiant 1.4.0 for Mac. It's older, but should work.
